Two Hudson Valley musicians give back

There are many ways to give back to the community. Some hold fundraisers. Some write a check. Some do volunteer work. Al Hemberger of Cold Spring does his part, and Howard Garrett of Montgomery do their part, and they do it through the gift of music. For many years they have harnessed the power of music by holding, or performing at, free or benefit concerts that brought joy to heavy hearts and advanced a variety of social causes. These veteran musicians shares how their respective musical projects began, how they continue to thrive and why Hemberger and Garrett pledge to play on.
